Summary

The content of iron, manganese, copper and zinc was compared in the selected species of medicinal plants from Lamiaceae family originated from organic cultivations on the area of Poland. Independent of the locality and the year of cultivation, the greatest amount of iron was found in marjoram and the greatest amounts of copper and zinc were identified in basil. Medicinal plants grown in Plewiska contained high amounts of iron and manganese, while those grown in Słońsk and Wiry showed a significantly lower content of manganese.
